PricesJust a quick note for y'all on the prices Mantra Tattoo charge. This is covered in some detail in the FAQ part of the site, but more than anything people seem to have some misgivings as to the price of a Tattoo at the studio. The resident artists at the studio (Guest artists may differ) work at a rate according to the amount of TIME a tattoo will take to complete. An artist during consultation or quotation of a particular design will price a tattoo based on the amount of TIME it will take to complete. All of Mantra 's artists will have a figure in mind, and prices DO NOT vary based on the origin of the tattoo ( i.e. : “I drew it myself, will it cost more?”) or indeed the colour of the tattoo ( i.e. : “My tattoo is only Black, will it cost less?!”). The price may vary slightly dependent on the placement of a tattoo as some areas are harder to work on then others (and therefore more time-consuming). However we are pleased to let you know that in the majority of cases the artists here at Mantra DO NOT charge for preparatory work (including drawing) for a tattoo. As well as this the studio would like to make it clear that our prices are fair, competitive and actually considering the standards achieved relatively inexpensive. Allowances will be made upon a quote for work if the tattoo is completed either over or under an initial estimation in price.
