You live in Germany, but I recall you saying your Dutch, can you give me a bit of your Family Background? I have moved back to Holland now, my Mum & Dad are both Dutch and we originate from a place called Arnhem, for you History fans it’s the place where Montgomery, f***ed up in the famous battle of Arnhem. It’s nice there, it has big town facilities, but everyone seems to know one another. 4. What is your idea of perfect happiness? A hot August night sat out on the porch with my lovely girlfriend sat on my lap listening to Dream Theatre, actually playing guitar along to Dream Theatre watching my kids play. 5. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? When I am bored I do stupid stuff. 6. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Selfishness 7. What is your most treasured possession? My kids. 8. What is your favourite word? Ongelovelijk, which means Unbelievable. 9. Your Favourite 3 course meal would be... To start with Salmon sushi, then for mains…. Tuna fish sushi and for pudding something with Walnuts in. 10. At what age were you first tattooed, what design did you choose? Professionally, I was 19 and had a little dragon on my chest. However before that I tattooed myself at 13 with a little cross. I built a machine, a rotary style machine with a metal pen… the needle got stuck in my leg as I used the wrong solder! 11. When did you first pick up a machine? My own machine at 13! 12. What would be your fancy dress costume of choice? I would go as Superman! 13. Which living person do you most admire, and why? (Again Mark coughs really loudly!) John Petrucci, again from Dream Theatre, he is the most amazing songwriter. 14. How often do you have sex? Well at the moment not for two weeks, but generally quite a lot with quite a lot of different people… if it’s ok to say that. 15. What single thing would improve the quality of your life? Finding someone I could really fall in love with. 16. What do you consider your greatest achievement? My children, and the fact that at 38 I can still what I want the way I want it without getting into trouble! I can take care and look after the people around me without really having to join society (and not giving up my youth!) 17. What keeps you awake at night? A full bladder 18. Your favourite style to tattoo would be... I go through phases of changing styles I think I work best in challenging places (neck & head)…. I just like to dress people. 19. What song would you have played at your funeral? Creeping Death by Metallica 20. Tell me something that not a lot of people know about Tommie 777? (Mark shouts across “he sleeps with a teddy bear!”) In fact I am actually really shy. 21. Your favourite memory from the world of tattoo? Not just cause I am here now, but a lot of great memories come from the Mantra Tattoo Festivals! 22. Biggest tattoo influences/favourite artists? Bernie Luther as an artist, and he tattooed one of my favourite pieces of work. It’s a weird thing in tattoo, but a lot of artists seem to get on better with international artists then they do sometimes with artists in there respective country. It’s sad because I think tattooists treat other artist’s in their locality as a threat or something. 23. What is the most important lesson life has taught you? From my perspective it is so sad and wrong if you complain about life, because on the grand scheme of life there is loads worse happening to other less privileged people and people should keep that in mind You are in: Guest Artist » Tommy 777
